St Patrick's Day

It's St. Paddy's Day today and I cooked and slept. Oh, and I played this flash game online based off of World of Warcraft but assuming the role of a Murloc. It was fun. I especially liked having my level 10 guy beat up a level 60 Night Elf :D

So, for my St. Patrick's Day dinner, I made (*drum rolls*) Guinness-soaked beef and Colcannon. Guinness and potatoes. How much more Irish can one get?

The Colcannon tasted like mashed potatoes -- which, I know, is what it basically is but I was hoping the cabbage would add some weird twist to it. Although, I must say, the saute'd onions go very well with it so I shall be adding that to all future mashed potato foods.

Guinness-soaked beef is fan-freakin'-tastic! Good God Almighty! That shit was just plain awesome. Who knew Guinness and herbs would make such a superbly delightful marinade and sauce? Well, OK, the Irish did; but up till 3 hours ago, I didn't.

And then there was garlic cheesy bread that I made yesterday and is already getting stale :P
