Dreaming of Habits
So I guess I can safely say that I have made a habit about blogging and running at least several times a week.
It actually feels quite satisfying.
Most habits I have are usually bad ones so to have these two habits so set in my life seems quite anchorey.
Anyway, as I was falling asleep a few nights ago, I realized something.
I am a dreamer; a fantasizer. I create wild, fantastic stories in my mind. I started in secondary school as a sort of escapist mechanism during my angsty teenage years. None of these little fantasies will ever come true (that's how far-fetched my imagination can get).
The epiphany I fell into last night was that, as a dreamer of incredible impossibilities, I have somehow fallen into the mentality that dreams are unattainable and always just at the horizon -- no matter how realistically achievable it is.
Dangerous state of mind. Dreams and goals and passions drive and motivate people forward. And here I am, believing that they are just meant to be viewed in my head. Looking back, so many projects and stuff started, but so few followed through because I got ahead of myself in my head and that was enough.
So now, I know.
